Patience Juwa, Clinical Intern

Patience

There is a saying that goes “There is no health without mental health’ and I wholeheartedly agree. I have a deep commitment and passion for the field, and I am open to working with individuals of all age groups and backgrounds. I take pride in my empathetic nature and use it to create a safe, judgment-free zone that makes the clients feel welcome, comfortable, and supported.

I integrate an eclectic approach to psychotherapy in order to adapt to the needs of each client understanding that every individual is unique and different. My goal is to help clients navigate life’s challenges while appreciating the body and mind as a whole. I am excited about this professional development opportunity and hope to contribute positively to the well-being of those I will serve.

I am currently a student at Washington Adventist University pursuing a master's in Clinical Mental Health Program. I received my Bachelor's in Counseling Psychology from the University of Eastern Africa and have four years of counseling experience prior to enrolling in my master's. Outside of practice, I enjoy spending time with my friends and attending musical concerts.
